It’s pretty safe to say Lorde fans have a lot to look forward to now that the singer has scrubbed her social media pages leading up to what they're certain is a new album release.

Over the weekend, Lorde deleted all posts across all of her accounts. Currently, the only bit of prose fans can read is her Instagram bio which reads, "THE THEMES ARE ALWAYS THE SAME— A RETURN TO INNOCENCE— THE MYSTERIES OF THE BLOOD— AN ITCH FOR THE TRANSCENDENTAL", and her X account bio which reads, "How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives."
Other than that, all followers will see is a big ol’ “No Posts Yet” message in place of the teases she’s been sharing for close to a year regarding her follow-up to 2021’s Solar Power. “Use the existing tools wherever possible,” Lorde wrote back in June. “If the tools do not exist you are spiritually obligated to create them.” In December 2023, Lorde responded to a comment on one of her cryptic teases saying, “We’re not CLOSE close you guys… i’m just getting so hype n needed to let u know .. start ur excitement on a low flame and bring it up to a gentle simmer .. we building stamina for this chapter.”
