It's been 20 years since Rihanna's debut album, Music Of The Sun, and we've been asking everyone to turn her music up ever since. On August 29, the "Pon de Replay" singer's first two DJs, Cipha Sounds and Max Glazer, linked up at New York's 94.7 The Block to look back on those first days with the star, talk about the moments that made her into an icon, and celebrate RiRi for being an everlasting force in the world of music and beyond.

"She was 17 years old," Cipha says of his first meeting with Rihanna. "We're sitting on the couch in that studio and I go up there and they play me a couple of songs and they're like, 'What do you think of these songs? What do you think of this girl?'"
"They play this girl for me, Rihanna, and I love it. The music's incredible, she's dope, dope singer, and they play 'Pon de Replay' and I was like, 'what's that one? What's that one? I like that one.'"
"We used to all fly coach together and hop in a white 15 passenger van and drive from gig to gig and radio show to radio show," reveals Glazer, who took over for Cipha Sounds and became Rihanna's DJ. "No first class, no business class, no private jet."
"The hard work that she put in, you can see why she's a billionaire," adds Cipha, noting that seeing her today is "Exactly the same just way flyer gear."
