While far from the first American and Korean pop bands to collaborate, the Jonas Brothers and TXT brought together an exceptional level of star power. According to the agency for TXT, the, “top-tier collaboration was achieved when TXT visited the United States as a part of their world tour.” Apparently after the two groups met and listened to the song’s demo, “the band members were eager to have the song released in summer, and the Jonas Brothers joined the boy band without hesitation.”
And it’s easy to see why, as the song is a guaranteed summer earworm. Focusing on high-pitched percussion and quick guitar riffs, the song flows from one band member to another faster than you can realize. Each voice is so blended and mix together that it’s hard to believe they aren’t just a massive supergroup.
But the groups are massive all by themselves, especially this year. In early January, TOMORROW X TOGETHER released their EP The Name Chapter: Temptation, which earned the band’s first Billboard No. 1. The EP then went on to become the longest-charting K-Pop album released in 2023, and if that wasn’t enough, TXT will be releasing their second full length album in August. The JoBros are equally as busy and in-demand, as they are set to kick off their North American tour at the end of the summer. Calling it their “most ambitious tour ever” the show, “Five Albums. One Night,” is set to go across the country with 35 concerts.
In addition to the single, TXT and the Jonas Brothers also released a music video which perfectly showcases their groups. The video opens with the JoBros in their classic trio set up as they sing and play guitars, until the camera then swipes over to TXT for their verse. With dancing, singing, and even a talk-singing bridge, this song isn’t one to miss.
