Texas Parks And Historic Sites Closed Until Further Notice

What seemed like the perfect get away during this social distancing time,  Texas State Parks and all historic sites will be closed until further notice.  Governor Abbott made the annoucement today  and directed Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to be closed temporary as a part of the state's effort to prevent people from gathering in large groups. 

State Parks and historic sites  will be closed, today at 5p and will not reopen until further notice from the Governor.   Among some of the popular parks are Huntsville State Park, Brazos Bend State Park, Galveston Island State Park and Battleship Texas Historic Site. 

Those who had previous reservations will be receiving reimbursements  and all futher reservations will be cancelled until April 30.
