How Houstonians Can Help Kerr County

After the deadly floods in Texas Hill Country, many Houstonians are left wondering "What can we do, how can we help?" Keep reading to find out ways to support our friends in Kerrville.

TO REPORT SOMEONE MISSING:
Email kerrvillemissing@dps.texas.gov with the name and a description of the missing person. You can also provide photos. The reunification center for those waiting on word about missing persons is at Calvary Temple Church, 3000 Loop 534.

HARRIS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez and the Harris County Sheriff's Office will be holding a donation drive with the goal of filling a 53-foot trailer. Drop offs can be made July 14th and 15th from 8:00am-4:00pm. Items needed are bottled water, protein bars, canned meals, baby food and formula, diapers, wipes, rash cream, small toys, toiletries, trash bags, cleaning materials, flashlights, batteries, pet food, cat litter, and gift cards.

Lindsey is the Houston Diamond Girl who has already raised $100,000 overnight for the people of Kerrville! She is donating 100% of net proceeds from her Hill Country Relief Jewelry Collection towards a trusted Hill Country Flood Relief organization to support everyone affected by the floods.

IN KERRVILLE

In Kerrville, people can drop off donations at the Kerrville Kroc Center M-F from 8:00am-5:00pm. The Salvation Army is gathered to accept non-perishable food, hygiene items, bleach, brooms, shovels, trash bags, diapers, socks, and baby wipes.

MONETARY DONATIONS:

- The Salvation Army: They are boots on the ground right now providing food, care, emotional, and spiritual support to those affected. They can't do it alone. To donate or volunteer, click HERE.

-Texas Search and Rescue: They are continuing to aid in the search for missing family members because of the flood. Their volunteers are trained with donations like yours. To donate, click HERE.

-KHOU 11 Texas Flood Relief Fund: KHOU is raising money to support the ongoing and long-term response to the flash floods in Texas Hill Country. Donations are tax deductible. Click HERE to donate.

-Kerville Pets Alive!: They are helping reunite pets with the families who were affected by the floods. To donate, or find out how to report a pet missing/found, click HERE.
