During the segment which aired between their historic headlining sets at Coachella, the K-pop quartet sang three of their own hits, “Pink Venom,” “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du,” and “How You Like That,” in addition to paying tribute to two other iconic girl groups. Spice Girls, of course with “Wannabe,” as well as TLC by singing “No Scrubs.” All of which is a must see in the clip below.
In between belting out songs, BLACKPINK reflected on their whirlwind careers, their early days together, and intensive experience in Pop star training camp.
Corden also spent song breaks listing of BLACKPINK’s various and impressive achievements and music industry records, before roping them in to help in his own, long and so far unsuccessful effort to break a world record on The Late Late Show.
Doing their best, the five of them attempted to break world records. First, for the fastest assembly of a Mr. Potatohead in which they were not successful. They also attempted to achieve the most handclaps in one minute, unfortunately also a fail. And then, again to no luck, also attempted to claim the prize for most Jenga blocks removed from a tower in one minute.
While all three attempts didn’t work out in their favor, Corden quipped, “we have broken the world record for the most failed attempts by a K-pop band in a car!”
