(SportsRadio 610) - Now that it is clear Deshaun Watson will not face criminal charges for sexual abuse allegations, teams are making trade offers and ready to meet with the Texans quarterback to discuss potential fits.

Among those teams are the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers, according to NFL Network and multiple outlets. Other teams are also involved and expected to be part of the conversations.

Watson, who signed a four-year, $156 million extension with the Texans before the 2020 season, has a no-trade clause in his contract. In order to make a deal, Watson would need to agree to waiving the no-trade clause, effectively allowing him to pick his destination.

Watson has wanted a trade from the Texans for over a year, well before the first of more than 20 lawsuits were filed against him last March.

The Texans' price tag for trading Watson, 26, has not changed. They want at least three first-round picks and more, the NFL Network reports, adding that multiple teams are willing to pay it.

It's worth noting that teams previously linked to a possible trade -- like the Denver Broncos, Washington Commanders, Miami Dolphins and New York Giants -- have either made other plans at quarterback, or distanced themselves from Watson.

The Broncos last week traded for Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks. In the AFC South, the Indianapolis Colts traded Carson Wentz to the Commanders. Management from both the Dolphins and Giants have said they were not interested in Watson.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles have also reportedly been interested in Watson, though it is does not appear that interest is mutual with Philadelphia. Watson reportedly invoked the no-trade clause last year when the Eagles attempted to acquire him.

There have also been conflicting reports about the Pittsburgh Steelers' interest in Watson.

In 2020, when Watson last played, he led the NFL in passing yards and was named to his third straight Pro Bowl. The Texans finished that season 4-12, firing then head coach and general manager Bill O'Brien after their 0-4 start.
