Okay but seriously what in the actual F is going on? Alright, let’s get into it.
Professing her love for Ariana, Diane Keaton (yes THE Diane Keaton) posted a video of various Ari images on Instagram with an audio overlay of herself calling Grande “just amazing” and wondering aloud if for “once in my stupid life” the pop star would do a duet with her.
Reiterating her feels in the posts caption, Keaton wrote, "I love Ariana Grande. Do you think she would want to sing a duet with me?” She ended the video saying, "Ariana Grande is a genius and I'm an idiot but so what, it was a lot of fun."
Suffice it to say, knowing about Ariana’s obsession with the movie First Wives Club and for the famed actress in general, we’re pretty sure the answer is a yes. And of course not missing a beat, Ari replied, and her reaction just further backs that up.
Seen in the comments section, Ari replied saying, “!!!! love you SO MUCH,” and then once more adding “i am having an out of body experience.”
Grande’s love for the 1996 movie First Wives Club starring Keaton as well as Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and a young Sarah Jessica Parker is no secret. She even paid homage to it by emulating the films’ “You Don’t Own Me” scene and some of its choreography while singing“Thank U, Next” (the very song Diane sang on video) during a 2018 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
So um yeah, we're gonna go ahead and take that as a yes. Looking forward it #ThankUNext.
