When news reporters do live television there’s always a risk that something embarrassing might happen.

Usually that means watching out for mistakes, or fans attempting to scream inappropriate things in the background.

However, for one reporter in Russia, apparently it meant trying to avoid a dog attempting to steal her microphone.

In a clip from a Russian newscast that recently went viral, a dog appears on camera during the report, quickly snatching the microphone from the reporter and running off with it.

Reporter Nadezhda Serezhkina was giving a weather report when the dog made its viral appearance, according to Fox News.

“It looks like we have lost the connection to our correspondent. We will try to connect with her momentarily,” said TV anchor Elina Dashkueva as cameras cut away from the reporter chasing after the dog.

Luckily, the crew eventually got their microphone back and no one was harmed in the incident.

The microphone wasn’t as lucky as it “took a bite or two” from the dog, according to Serezhkina. Despite almost losing their equipment, the crew seemed happy to share their moment with the spotlight stealing dog.
