Good news — Donald Glover has revealed plans of blessing us with new Childish Gambino music soon. Bad news — These next two albums will also be the final projects from his melodious alter ego.

During a GILGA Radio Instagram livestream Donald posted about and held on Sunday April 14, Glover shared that Childish will be releasing a “finished” version of his 2020 album, 3.15.20, re-titled Atavista.
To follow that up, Gambino will also release Bando Stone & The New World, a brand new project doubling as the soundtrack for his upcoming film of the same name. “We’re releasing Atavista, but after that, there’s the final Childish Gambino album — a soundtrack for the fans,” he said.
Also explaining the reasons for previously releasing 3.15.20 unmixed and unmastered was due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. Glover thanked his fans for their support, noting “My fans are great and have been so patient and are starving — this album is for you guys.”
During the Live he also played a few previously unreleased tracks, including “Human Sacrifice” and the originally titled “35.31,” now called “Little Foot Big Foot” featuring Atlanta rapper Young Nudy.
While the multi-hyphenate didn’t divulge a release date for either projects, he did reveal that a music video for the aforementioned “Little Foot Big Foot” (originally titled “35.31”) directed by longtime collaborator Hiro Murai, would be arriving in “the next couple weeks.” A welcomed amount of time, seeing as it’s been more than four years since 3.15.20 dropped, and nearly seven since 2016’s “Awaken, My Love!”.
Donald’s Childish Gambino news follows his guest appearance during Tyler the Creator’s headlining set at Coachella on Saturday night, where they performed IGOR's “RUNNING OUT OF TIME” together.
