(SportsRadio 610) -- A hearing is scheduled Friday morning to determine whether attorneys representing women with claims against Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson will have to produce their identities.
Rusty Hardin, representing Watson, filed a motion for an emergency hearing to force the women to identify themselves in court pleadings, rather than as "Jane Doe."
Hardin is asking a Harris County district judge to order the women to include their real names in petitions and if not, to strike the petitions.
The hearing to decide whether the women will be required to include their names in the lawsuits is scheduled for Friday morning at 11 a.m.
"The only way to allow Mr. Watson to properly defend himself is for the Court to follow the law by requiring Ms. Doe to identify herself in her civil lawsuit," Hardin wrote in his filing Thursday.
Two of the 22 women who filed lawsuits against Watson last month revealed their identities during a press conference earlier this week at their attorney Tony Buzbee's office in downtown Houston.
The lawsuits allege Watson used the guise of massage therapy to sexually harass or assault women.
Hardin responded by accusing Buzbee and the women of a money grab. Hardin has denied Watson did anything unlawful, or that he forced a woman against her will.
