(SportsRadio 610) -- The Texans cut wide receiver Anthony Miller less than three months after trading a fifth-round pick for him to the Chicago Bears.
Miller has five catches for 23 yards and a touchdown in two games played for Houston. He caught four of those passes, including the touchdown, in week three against the Carolina Panthers.

While Miller played an even greater percentage of the offensive snaps in week four's loss to the Buffalo Bills, he caught just one of his five targets for just a three-yard gain.
The Texans' issues on offense are widespread, from starting rookie third-round quarterback Davis Mills in place of the injured Tyrod Taylor, their inability to run the ball, and limited weapons in the passing game outside of Brandin Cooks.
With Miller gone, expect Danny Amendola, returning soon from a hamstring injury, to be the primary slot receiver.
The Texans also signed wide receiver Davion Davis off the Cleveland Browns' practice squad, and undrafted rookie wide receiver Damon Hazelton to the their own practice squad.
Davis played his college ball at Sam Houston State and is a native of Hutto, near Austin. The 5'11, 195-pound receiver went undrafted in 2019 but spent time on the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad. Davis did not play in the league last year.
Davis was on the Browns' practice squad this year but had been suspended the first two games for violating the league's substance abuse policy after admitting to drinking and driving back in 2019 (legal case was resolved in December 2020).
