(SportsRadio 610) — The Texans will be without their top pass rusher when they face the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.

Defensive end Jonathan Greenard, who leads Houston with seven sacks this season, did not travel for Sunday's game due to a foot injury. Greenard on Friday had been listed as questionable for the game, but the team announced Saturday he would not travel to Tennessee.

The Texans (1-8) are coming off their bye week, but on an eight-game losing streak as they battle the AFC South leading Titans (8-2).

Earlier in the week, Greenard offered some thoughts on the Titans, who go into the game as double-digit favorites against Houston.

“They want to have the same approach as if 22 (Derrick Henry) is back there," Greenard said. "They’re still going to run the ball. AP (Adrian Peterson), we know who he is, and (former Texans running back D'Onta) Foreman is a guy who has been well-respected. People know about him. He was here before hand. They like the physical run style. They want to impose their will. They want to do that and then it opens everything else up. They are going to have the same game plan for sure. ...

"It’s not going to change our approach at all. We still have to get all 11 hats to the ball and get it to where we want it to go."

Also dealing with injury for the Texans are tight end Pharaoh Brown (thigh) and defensive back Cre'von LeBlanc (illness), who is listed as questionable for Sunday. Linebacker Hardy Nickerson was ruled out because he is in the concussion protocol and also did not travel to Tennessee.

For the Titans, seven players were ruled out, three of them for concussions: guard Nate Davis, running back Jeremy McNichols, and tight end Geoff Swaim. Outside linebacker Bud Dupree (abdomen), linebackers Rashaan Evans (ankle) and David Long (hamstring) have also been ruled out against the Texans.

Outside linebacker Harold Landry, who leads the Titans with 10 sacks, was limited in practice with a hamstring injury but is expected to play. Jeffery Simmons, probably the Titans' best defensive player, was also limited in practice with an ankle injury and is expected to play.
