HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) - Texans safety Justin Reid suffered a concussion in the third quarter of Sunday's 33-13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Reid left the game in concussion protocol and was deemed questionable to return. He did not return, and head coach David Culley revealed after the game the starting safety did in fact suffer a concussion.

Cornerback and return specialist Desmond King was also in the concussion protocol briefly, but was determined to not have a concussion and returned to the game.

Reid, who is a free agent after this season, finished with four combined tackles for the day. His departure, along with not having Terrence Brooks active due to a hamstring injury, thrust Jonathan Owens into the game along with Eric Murray.

The Texans (2-11) trailed 16-13 at halftime after giving up a 55-yard touchdown pass from Russell Wilson to Tyler Lockett with just one minute left in the second quarter.

Houston's offense failed to score in the second half, when the team as a whole was outscored 17-0.
