(SportsRadio 610) -- Three of the Texans' offensive lineman are on the reserve-COVID-19 list after one tested positive and the other two were deemed high-risk close contacts.
Two-time Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil; tackle and guard Tytus Howard; and swing tackle Roderick Johnson are all on the list, the team announced Friday evening about 24 hours ahead of their first preseason game against the Green Bay Packers.
With these three key pieces out at tackle, expect to see more of second-year lineman Charlie Heck, who has seen first team reps at right tackle during training camp.
Carson Green and Geron Christian are also likely to see time at tackle Saturday.
Tunsil, Howard, and Johnson have been the Texans' most consistent tackles the past two seasons.
But the new coaching staff is experimenting with Howard -- an athletic, 6-feet, 5-inch, 322-pound specimen -- at left guard, where he played sometimes two years ago as a rookie.
Max Scharping, who had been the Texans' left guard before losing his starting job last year, has seen most of his reps at right guard.
Justin Britt, who the Texans signed as a free agent, is expected to start at center.
