(SportsRadio 610) - Texans veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor sustained a hyperextended left wrist in Sunday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts and is sharing practice reps with backup rookie Davis Mills.
Head coach David Culley said earlier Wednesday that both quarterbacks would practice, but Taylor's hyperextended wrist caused some swelling.
A decision on who starts Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks will be made later in the week, Culley said. He also said Taylor's injury would not factor into the decision.
Both quarterbacks played in Sunday's 31-0 loss to the Colts, and neither was particularly effective.
Taylor, who started the game, was 5-for-13 with 45 passing yards and an interception on the very first play from scrimmage. He finished with a 16.5 passer rating.
Mills threw 6-for-14 with 49 passing yards, no touchdowns or interceptions, with a 52.4 passer rating.
Both quarterbacks were sacked twice.
At Wednesday's practice, Mills and Taylor split reps throwing to tight ends and wide receivers.
