Last week, Meg went off after rumors emerged she was dropping the charges against Lanez for allegedly shooting her.
“AT THIS POINT IM GETTING ANNOYED ! STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE MF INTERNET,” she wrote. “Imagine how I feel waking every day seeing people LIE and turn my trauma into a joke? That whole team figures out ways to create doubt with my story every week and the media eats it up.”
According to TMZ, Tory wants to speak about Meg’s claims, but there’s a wrinkle that’s preventing him from doing so.
Lanez requested that the judge presiding over the case modify his gag order, which currently prohibits from speaking about information he gets from prosecutors. Additionally, Lanez is barred from contacting Meg on social media.
Tory’s legal team filed a new court document saying that Meg’s ability to speak publicly about the case while he cannot is unjust since he’s not able to defend himself. Tory is reportedly upset about Meg’s claims that he and his legal team were the source of the false reports.
Additionally, the court documents claim that Tory has proof he can disprove Megan’s version of the story, specifically the “evidence of gunshot residue implicating others.” Due to the protective order, Lanez isn’t allowed to disclose said evidence.
Meg’s attorney, Alex Spiro, issued a statement to XXL addressing Tory’s claims he has evidence that proves he’s innocent. "Did the motion fail to mention that there was gunshot residue on his hands or that he texted her 'Sorry'? I haven't had a chance to read it.”
