(SportsRadio 610) - The Texans officially announced their coaching staff Monday and their was one notable name missing.
Retired NFL quarterback Josh McCown, who was a finalist for Texans head coach before Lovie Smith was named to the position earlier this month, seemed like a prime candidate for quarterbacks coach.
Smith coached McCown with the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was one of the earlier coaches to nudge McCown to consider a coaching career after his playing days. So having him on staff might have worked, and even Smith told In The Loop that he would love to work with McCown.
Listen to Seth Payne and Sean Pendergast read through and react to the Texans' coaching staff.
They dive into whether the absence of McCown says anything about the Texans' power dynamics.
