Meet Connor! Connor is a two-year-old foxhound/lab mix who weighs 63 pounds. Connor was brought in to Sussex County animal control as a stray, so we decided to pick him up and help him find the perfect forever home!
Connor is an absolute goofball and an excellent co-pilot (he hops right in)! He would be an excellent exercise buddy to take on a walk or better yet - a run! He is full of sweetness and eager to please. Connor has all the basics down - he's house trained and crate trained. Because of Connor's stressful time in a kennel, he's started to resource guard his food. For this reason, we think it's best that Connor go to a home without small kids. He needs a family who will respect his boundaries when he's eating (no one wants to be bothered during dinner!). Connor enjoys playing with other dogs, but his excitability can be a bit much for some dogs, so a meet-and-greet is suggested if you already have a dog at home. Connor is known to chase cats, so we recommend a home without any kitties.
Connor is the sweetest dog ever with a big, goofy attitude. He loves to be petted and cuddled with, especially after long walks! He's hoping his new forever family will be willing to love him unconditionally, like we all do.
Connor is in need of a foster home. Fosters are the backbone of HHS. They provide love, training, and shelter to our animals while HHS provides the rest (food, medical, crate, toys, treats, etc.) If you are interested in fostering Connor or getting more information about our foster program, go to henricohumane.org/volunteer.
Today’s pet of the day is brought to you by Impawsible Pups. Where Happy Tails Are Discovered.
