According to a press release, “the show will shine a spotlight on the best and brightest builders across the country at their home workshops,” as they compete to rebuild everyday household items in desperate need of fixing.
The idea is to stop being a disposable society. Allen notes, “Let’s face it -- we’re living in a throwaway society. We buy, break, replace… rinse and repeat. Whatever happened to repair and rebuild?”
