From Jeff: Just over four and half years ago, my oldest son, Jackson was hospitalized and diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes (T1D). It came as a shock to us all as Jackson had always been a very active and healthy kid. From that day on, my entire family's life changed. We had to learn how to count carbs, take and read blood sugars, administer insulin and learn how to use an insulin pump.
