All of us here at Mix 98.1 greatly miss our dear friend and colleague Kat Simons. We are honored let you know that some of Kat's family, friends, and colleagues have formed the Friends of Kat Simons Foundation.
The goal of the Friends of Kat Simons Foundation is to continue Kat's legacy of kindness and public service to not just Richmond, but all of Central Virginia. Many of you know that Kat used her time and platform as an on-air talent to champion a variety of causes benefiting many 2-legged and 4-legged friends.
You can go to friendsofkatsimons.org (an official 501c3) to learn more about the causes our dear friend Kat supported over the years and how you can either donate time or money to bring awareness to a cause that's important to you!
Friends of Kat Simons Foundation is also planning a musical tribute to Kat at Westchester Commons on September 8th that is open to the public! We will keep you updated on more details about this celebration once we get them.
