SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Hans is a very sweet dog who came to us when his owner passed away. He is well behaved in new situations and with new people. He is in good health and appears to get along well with other small dogs. When entering the shelter he had a flea infestation that caused his skin to be rough and caused hair loss. With good care the situation is quickly improving and his hair is beginning to grow back! He appears to be house trained. We believe He would make an excellent lap dog and fit well in most homes!

Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
