Teddy is a super sweet dog! This little fellow is fully grown at just 15 pounds and is believed to be less than 2 years old. He loves everyone he meets and gets along well with other small, well behaved dogs. He's a great size for most homes! Sadly Teddy has lived outside most of his life and has not been taught to walk on a leash. We are beginning to work on that skill now. He is happy and playful and wants to be right by your side. Teddy is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an active adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with this lovely dog! A home without larger pets and with a private fenced, secure yard will give him a safe area to run and play. Teddy will fit nicely into most homes.

Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
