Snoop Dogg celebrates Lakers' title with new tattoo

'Gangsta heaven up top, and it don’t stop. Laker Nation'

Snoop Dogg is a Los Angeles Lakers fanatic. Don’t believe us? Then check out his new ink.

The rapper and LA super fan celebrated the team’s NBA Finals win with a commemorative tattoo, drawing deep meanings from this Lakers team. “K-B on the bottom, Kobe Bryant. Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy, with the Lakers going through the ball,” Snoop says in a short Instagram video showing off his latest ink. “Gangsta heaven up top, and it don’t stop. Laker Nation.”

Fans even got a behind the scenes look as Snoop’s tattoo artist laid down the fresh ink.

His post also gave a shout out to individual players on the title winning team including Lebron James, Anthony Davis, Kentavious Caldwell-pope, Dwight Howard, Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma, Alex Caruso, Markieff Morris and Rajan Rondo.

Snoop's affinity for this team is laced with the extraordinary trials they faced on their path to a franchise 17th NBA title. Not only was the season protracted by the coronavirus, but players grieved the loss of Laker legend Kobe Bryant, after his January death.

Tattoos aren’t the only passion the big D-O-Double-G is following. He recently handed over the classic “Drop It Like It’s Hot” track to the Democratic National Committee to be used for a new vote-by-mail ad campaign.

With special ballot drop boxes placed in some parts of the U.S. the DNC is encouraging voters to use the dropbox system in order to vote early, safely, and simply.

In a press release, Snoop shared, “this is the most important election of our lifetimes and it’s my first time voting. We need every single American to get out there and vote. It’s time for y’all to drop those ballots like they’re hot — in your local dropbox. Vote early and let ‘em know our voices will be heard!”

It’s all part of his Rock The Vote and 1 Vote Closer campaign to bring voter registration awareness to the people.
