Chet Hanks, the 30-year-old son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, took to Instagram and made the decision to proclaim summer of 2021 as a “white boy summer.”

"I just got this feeling, man, that this summer... it’s about to be a white boy summer,” he said in an Instagram video. "Take it how you want. I’m not talking about Trump, NASCAR-type white. I’m talking about me, Jon B., Jack Harlow-type white boys, you know what I mean? Let me know if you guys can vibe with that, and get ready. ‘Cause I am."

Immediately, Twitter was called upon to fulfill its natural duty. Roast the absolute living daylights out of Chet for the video.

Leading the charge was none other than the Queen of Twitter, Dionne Warwick.

After seeing Hanks’ video, Warwick asked “What foolishness did I just see?” You weren’t the only one with that sentiment Ms. Warwick.

In response to Hanks’ Instagram video, Warwick told her Twitter followers that she “will be having a Black Woman Summer.”

While Warwick succinctly described the “foolishness” of Hanks’ video, there were also plenty of fantastic memes that ensued.
