Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are engaged! Sharing the joyous news of her engagement on social media, Selena posted a series of photos showing off her stunning marquise-cut diamond ring on *that* finger, and some loved up snaps with her now-fiancé.

"Forever begins now..,” she captioned the IG post, to which Benny replied to with, "Hey wait… that’s my wife.” And he wasn’t the only one, SelGo’s bestie Taylor Swift also to graced the comments section, writing, “yes I will be the flower girl.”
Additionally, Cardi B, like all of us, needed a minute, writing,“Waiiiitttt hold on 😱😱😱😱😱❤️❤️❤️.” Lil Nas X, echoed everyone’s collective excitement no doubt with, “OMMGGGGG CONGRATSSS AHHH.” Julia Michaels shared, “So happy for you both 😢😢,” and Disney’s Wizards series official IG even chimed in with, “Congratulations! Wishing you a lifetime of ✨magic✨together ❤️.” Just to shout out a few.
The photo series also included a pic of Selena admiring her ring amongst a picnic set up, sitting atop a blanket, surrounded by Taco Bell takeout and a wicker basket. How very on brand for the couple, who publicly share a love of cooking and just food in general.
The post also featured a selfie Selena took, flashing the biggest smile, that couldn’t even be covered up by her left hand placement in front of it, or that giant rock. In the last image, Selena still beaming, is being embraced by Benny as he kisses her on the head on what appears to be a closet floor.
Also taking to her Instagram story, Gomez shared a video of herself sharing the news and showing off her ring to an unseen person on FaceTime, telling the excited person on the other end of the call, “I said yes to this!”
The pair, who started off as friends, began dating in the summer of 2023, before going public in December of that year, after months of speculation. Since confirming their relationship, the couple have both been vocal about their admiration, love, and support for one another, and open about their plans for the future.
“We both met each other like almost 16, 17 years ago,” Benny recalled during an interview earlier this year in April. “Obviously, we made a bunch of songs together. But before we had made any music together, I was one of her big meetings — like right around when she was just leaving Disney to make her own music.”
"I guess it was a big meeting at the time," he continued. "Then we wound up making songs after. She's the best.”
Some of their collaborations include, “Same Old Love,” “Kill Em With Kindness,” and the most recently released, "Single Soon," which arrived in August 2023, ironically, around the time they started dating.
Clearly the pair’s collaborative efforts in the studio leads to absolute bops, but something tells us their union as husband and wife will be the best collab of all.
