During a recent chat on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, Usher revealed that once upon a time, we could have had ourselves a supergroup comprised of himself, JAY-Z, Pharrell, and Diddy. And now we’ll never be the same.

“Jay-Z, Pharrell, Diddy and me were supposed to be a group,” he said. “Yeah, that’s crazy. I didn’t say ‘No.’ I didn’t say ‘Yeah.’ I think that we just got caught up. I think we all got caught up in the moment,” Usher revealed.
Adding, “we was talking about it and having secret meetings about it. We were talking about music and how we gon’ flip it and the business of it. And somehow, man, we just got distracted and it never happened.”
Ummm what?! We’re gonna need a moment to mourn what could have been. And it seems Usher feels the same way, noting that not following through with the supergroup plans is one of his career’s biggest regrets, along with turning down starring in 2006’s Dreamgirls, “That’s the one I actually wish would have happened.”
On the brighter side, one thing Usher wont have to add to that list is performing a Halftime Show, which he’s gearing up to do at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas on February 11.
Making sure to keep our minds busy in the meantime, Usher finally unveiled the tracklist for his upcoming ninth studio album, Coming Home, revealing features from Latto, Burna Boy, 21 Savage, Summer Walker and many more, across the albums 20 tracks.
