Machine Gun Kelly and Miley Cyrus have entered the chat… The 2022 GRAMMY nominations chat that is. And with a total of 0 noms between the two of them, you can imagine what the vibe is.

Feeling some type of way after the Recording Academy released the list of nominees for the 2022 award show. Kelly, real name Colson Baker, had something to say about it. And while his response was simple, let’s just say it was umm, straight to the point.

“Wtf is wrong with the grammys,” the rocker tweeted. Later, adding “the ones who gas you up only come around when the flames on.”

Clearly not happy about, perhaps because his last album Tickets to My Downfall, which earned him his first number one album, was not only released within the 2022 GRAMMY Awards eligibility period, but also received incredible reviews from both fans and critics alike. Just a thought.

As for Cyrus, she’s not sweating it too hard, but did send out some on brand Miley subtle shade by tweeting out a link to a Best Life article listing 30 legendary artists who haven’t won GRAMMYs. Adding her own little snide yet positive message, “In good company.” How very Miley.

GRAMMY nominees were announced on Tuesday November 23. And just to name a few, among them is Kanye West earning four nominations, including Album of the Year. Also up for the same category is Billie Eilish who additionally has six other nominations, as well as Doja Cat also up for Album of the Year, which is just one of her 8 nominations. Then there’s also Drake, who received two noms this year, including Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance. And of course JAY-Z, who received three, officially earned himself the title of most GRAMMY-nominated artist ever, with a total of 83 throughout his career.

Airing live on CBS and on the Paramount+ app, the GRAMMYs will take place on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 8 PM ET. Until then you can check out the full list of 2022 Grammy nominations here.
