'Stranger Things' Star Finn Wolfhard Has a New Band and a New Song

Introducing The Aubreys

One of our favorite residents of Hawkins is back with a new band and they’ve just released their first song and video. Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard has revealed the first track from his new project, The Aubreys, as part of the original soundtrack for his upcoming movie The Turning.

The Aubreys make their debut with “Getting Better (otherwise),” a jittery, straight-ahead jam with plenty of passion packed in. It arrives with its own creepy video, with Wolfhard lurking around the corner and playing guitar in the halls of a mansion.

The Aubreys features Wolfhard and Malcolm Craig, who was with Finn in his former band, Calpurnia. The band split up in November after spending two years together. “We are extremely grateful for the support we’ve received over the past few years. What seemed to us like an unimaginable reality came to be, and we have been thrilled to share the ride with you,” they wrote in a statement on Instagram.

“We’re all going to be starting fresh chapters in our lives: new projects, new music, new creative ventures, and new experiences to come.”

In addition to the new band, one of those new experiences in another new film for Wolfhard, who stars in the horror movie The Turning later this month. The soundtrack for the film also features Courtney Love, Mitski, and Pale Waves, in addition to The Aubreys.

Season 4 of Stranger Things has already been announced, with writers sharing an episode title in November.
