Noel Gallagher Shares Previously Lost Old Oasis Demo

Originally thought to be lost forever

Noel Gallagher, principal songwriter/guitarist/more-than-occasional singer for Brit-pop pioneers Oasis, has been passing his time at home going through some old boxes. Music fans win in the end, as he just shared an early demo for an unreleased track called "Don't Stop..." and fans are hoping for more to be unearthed.

"This is mega! Imagine how many more demos like this are lurking in Noel’s vaults," a user on YouTube commented.

Noel posted the news on his own, and the band's social media accounts, lending a bit of credibility that singer Liam certainly didn't appreciate, since he's nowhere to be found on the track. (Maybe he's on tambourine?)

"Like the rest of the world I’ve had infinite time to kill lately so I thought I’d FINALLY look and find out what was actually on the HUNDREDS of faceless unmarked cd’s I’ve got lying around in boxes at home," Noel announced.

He says the only other version of the track "out there" in the public is one recorded possibly fifteen years ago during a soundcheck in Hong Kong, and is unsure which version is the chicken or the egg.

"You’re welcome by the way," he ended.

Of course, Liam was not feeling welcome and had some poetic shade to throw at his brother over all of this.
