Life as a touring musician can be a strange thing. Your travel from place to place ensures there’s constant unfamiliarity. Perhaps the source of the most familiarity is the presence of fast food restaurants across the country.

As lead singer of The Strokes, you’d have to imagine Julian Casablancas has had exposure to every fast food restaurant during his extensive travels of America. Apparently that’s not the case.

Casablancas was tasked with interviewing Mac DeMarco for Interview Magazine and asked him whether he preferred Taco Bell or Chick-fil-A. “I’ve never really had Chick-fil-A, so I’m going to have to go with Taco Bell on this one,” DeMarco said. “We used to go to Taco Bell a lot because they have vegan options. Andy in my band was vegan, so everybody could eat. I’ve got love with Taco Bell. What are you choosing?”

“I’ve got to go Chick-fil-A,” Casablancas responded. After sharing a childhood memory about his favorite Taco Bell menu item, Casablancas admitted that “Chick-fil-A is a new discovery” and said “It may be the best.”

Julian was recently a guest on the New Arrivals show with Bryce Segall and opened up about his love of cereal and the combination he calls the perfect mix.

"Cocoa Krispies and Cinnamon Toast Crunch... I mean it is perhaps the greatest chocolate milk-making flavor of all time,” he said.

"There's something about the way it mixes," he added. "I don't know how I discovered it, but it can't be beat."

If Casablancas decides to step away from music, he certainly has a bright future as host of a food show.
