Would you want to be in the Arctic Monkeys? Of course! Who wouldn’t want to be in the Arctic Monkeys? Unfortunately, they don’t appear to be hiring at the moment.

However, if you’re an artist like Julian Casablancas, we’d have to imagine the doors for a collaboration would be open.

Casablancas took to Instagram to profess his love of the Arctic Monkeys as he shared the album art of their debut record Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not.

“Lolll - i always wanted to be in the Arctic Monkeys,” The Strokes frontman captioned his post.

The prospect of Casablancas joining the Arctic Monkeys is an exciting fantasy, but at the moment it’s just that. A fantasy.

However! Arctic Monkeys fans can rejoice at the fact the group is currently working on a brand new album. Back in August, news emerged that the Arctic Monkeys had taken over a venue two hours from London as they worked on recording a new album.

The venue, called the Butley Priory, published a blog post revealing the news. “Musicians love the acoustics in the Great Hall and Drawing Room, with their huge vaulted ceilings,” the post said. “Being serenaded while watering and weeding the garden, listening to the double bass, drums and piano wafting out of the open double doors, was pretty nice. Thank you, Arctic Monkeys.”

As for Casablancas and The Strokes, they are set to join Red Hot Chili Peppers as support for their recently announced summer 2022 tour.
