Thankfully, all our hard work has paid off as Ashe is more than happy to share the love. “You guys post nice things about me so I gotta retweet!” She told Audacy’s Julia and Bru at Lollapalooza.

Lollapalooza is certainly a milestone marker for any artist. For Ashe, it represented her first show since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I was so nervous,” she said of her feelings before her set. “That was my first show back since everything. Since the pandemic, since my whole career changed.”

“I was like, ‘don’t throw up before you go on,’” Ashe added with a laugh.

Before her performance, Ashe was at the side of the stage and didn’t want to look out to see the size of the audience. “They were chanting my name and I ran out. They screamed and it was completely packed as far as my eye could see. I just started tearing up,” she said.

Ashe has plenty on her plate following Lollapalooza. “Writing a bunch,” she says, “and then the big North American tour starts next year.”

Her tour, which you can find the full dates here, will kick off in April 2022 and will see Ashe perform all across the U.S. and Canada. For as exciting as the tour is, Ashe had one thing on her mind coming into this weekend. Lollapalooza.

“Honestly, I couldn’t see past Lolla,” she said. “I knew it was a special moment and put so much effort in.”
