The first-ever David Bowie World Fan Convention will be taking place at various locations throughout Liverpool over the 50th Anniversary weekend of Bowie’s The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars album.
The convention will include a one-of-a-kind musical line-up featuring some of Bowie’s collaborators and closest friends. Additionally, fans can enjoy exhibitions and discussions by various photographers and designers who had a hand in crafting Bowie’s brand.
As a tribute to the famed artist’s dedication to self-expression, all ticket holders will be granted access to a Bowie Ball, where they will be encouraged to flaunt who they are, paying no mind to modesty or cosmetics.
The event is sure to be a dream come true for all David diehards ready to honor the greatness of Bowie and the legend he left. Tickets are on sale now and can be found here.
Guests throughout the weekend will include: Carlos Alomar (guitarist and bandleader for 3 decades), Gail Ann Dorsey (bass-player and vocalist from 1995 to 2016), Woody Woodmansey (legendary drummer and last surviving Spider from Mars), Robin Clark (vocal powerhouse) and and Donny McCaslin (a saxophonist who was the last musician to play alongside Bowie).
