Hagar caught up with Audacy’s Gunner & Cheyenne and filled us in on his upcoming Las Vegas residency at The STRAT this fall.

“A residency to me is like a party,” Hagar said. “I’m inviting people to my place, that’s a residency. It’s my place, it's my residence now, even though I don’t own The STRAT,” he added with a laugh.

Hagar says The STRAT holds 800 people, which is about the same size as his club Cabo Wabo. His Vegas residency is going to have a lot of similar elements to Cabo Wabo and will be modeled after his famous birthday bash, which means there’ll be plenty of special guests involved.

“Anybody that’s ever heard or read about the bash, just look at the usual suspects, you know what I mean?” Hagar said. “I have more Country friends than I do Rock guys!”

“I haven’t really invited anyone in particular, but I sent the ad out that the residency was going to happen to all my friends,” Hagar said.

“It’d be really a shame if I sat here and said, yeah Paul McCartney’s going to show and then he doesn’t even come. I don’t even know Paul McCartney!”
