Tammy, of John and Tammy in the Morning and ‘90s Country with John and Tammy recently lost a bet to co-host, John, after she predicted Jimmie would be in the top five on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars competition. While Jimmie was close, he headed home just before making the top 5 (7th place), but it worked out for the best because it brought us this *creative* work of art….

*cue applause*

While Jimmie joked DWTS head judge, Len Goodman would’ve scored Tammy a 5/10 for “using her heels,” Jimmie scored her interpretive number a solid 10. Honestly, how could he not? She pulled props out of a Christmas tree, knew every word and literally danced like no one was watching. Those spins…. A+!

While he didn’t finish as close to the top as he would’ve liked on DWTS, Jimmie has had plenty of other accomplishments to celebrate over the past few weeks including a Grammy nomination and CMA Award win for New Artist of the Year.

“To me, what made it [Grammy nomination] extra special was I’m the only Country artist in that all-genre category. So, to get a chance to represent Country music is amazing.”

He continued to share the special moment he was named CMA New Artist of the Year saying it was “the most surreal moment ever.” He added, “I’ve been dreaming of winning a CMA for a long time and to hear ‘Best New Artist,’ not just male but Best New artist was the biggest compliment ever. For me, it’s about acceptance.”
