We’re gearing up for a holly Dolly Christmas this year. Dolly Parton and Christine Baranski’s new Netflix holiday film, Dolly Parton’s Christmas on The Square will be filled with singing, dancing, and a whole lot of cheer. The trailer for the new special is out today and viewers are getting to peer into the spectacular winter wonderland that Parton has created for us.

Baranski plays a modern-day Scrooge-like character, while Dolly plays the all-knowing angel. While Baranski’s character seems to be wreaking havoc in the small holiday town just days before Christmas, Parton’s character serves as Christine’s angelic conscience and voice of reason. The classic devil and angel archetypes ultimately come together to serve up a Christmas that is filled with love and peace.

Directed by the legendary, Debbie Allen the musical’s storyline is enhanced by bold, beautiful, and cheerful choreography.

With original songs and lyrics by Dolly, we know this new holiday music has certainly been in the right hands. We are already humming the little Christmas on The Square tune that Dolly sings out at the end of the trailer.
