Throughout the month of March, RADIO.COM will be celebrating the Leading Ladies of Country music with special interviews and performances from some of the biggest female names in the genre.
Listen to your favorite Country music now on RADIO.COM.
In honor of Women’s History Month, we're celebrating the power of Women in Country by honoring iconic heritage female artists, showcasing the genre's rising stars, and spotlighting today’s hit female artists. Today Rob & Holly welcome Caroline Jones to the party, and she can stay as long as she likes! Don't miss her full interview and performance of "Come In (But Don't Make Yourself Comfortable)" above!
Throughout the month, we've been asking all of our Leading Ladies -- from Maddie & Tae to Meghan Patrick and everyone in between -- a bit of a tough one: 'Give us one word or phrase that defines you at this moment.' Each and every woman we spoke with provided words and phrases of optimism, and today Caroline was right beside them.
"I'm kind of back and forth between 'authentic' and 'joyful,'" she tells Holly. "Those are the things that I really want to come through in my music. I'm not really sure which one I want to come through more," she adds, "because I'm not always joyful," she laughs. "No one is."
"I'd say 'authentic,'" Caroline eventually decides. "That's really important to me, the integrity of my art and the authenticity of who I am and how I come across. I'm really focused on that; I'm really intentional about that."
We'd like to take this opportunity to say a big CONGRATS to Caroline and her now fiancé Nick Dana, who just announced their engagement hours ago. We bet 'joyful' is sneaking its way back up to the top!
