Throughout the month of March, we're celebrating the Leading Ladies of Country music with special interviews and performances from some of the biggest female names in the genre.
In honor of Women’s History Month, we're celebrating the power of Women in Country by honoring iconic heritage female artists, showcasing the genre's rising stars, and spotlighting today’s hit female artists. Today we welcome Lauren Alaina! Don't miss her full interview and performance of "Getting Over Him" with Jon Pardi above!
All month we've been asking our Leading Ladies for some advice that they would give to their younger selves given the chance now, knowing all they've learned about the industry to this point. From Ashley McBryde to Tenille Arts and so many in between, and many had the same response. Take it all in.
"Take more pictures," Lauren says. Also, as a performer on Dancing with the Stars and with a movie in the works, "for me, and it probably isn't for everyone" she says, "but figuring out other things that kind of go along with the music has really helped me to expand my brand. So, I would say, be open to anything.'"
"My goal, at the end of the day, is to be strong, and empowering," Lauren admits, "and through my music be the thing that's the hardest for me, so that it gives me the confidence to be that and hopefully make someone else empowered and strong."
