Florida Georgia Line came roaring back with a new album in 2019, but the duo is already hard at work on the next one, giving us our first sample with “I Love My Country.”
“We’ve been in here working on our new album, we’ve been jamming, been having a good time, and we can’t wait any longer,” Tyler Hubbard shared in a message, alongside Brian Kelley.
“It’s time,” Brian nodded knowingly with a big smile.
“It could not be more appropriate for a time like now,” Hubbard adds, as concern continues surrounding the coronavirus pandemic. “We’re all kind of living in an uncertain time, we’re kind of quarantined, not really sure what the future holds.”
The upbeat anthem is pure FGL, and a bright blast when many of us need it the most.
“We’re still loving life, still having a good time, and this song really does that for us,” he adds. “It really does that for us. It brings us so much joy.”
According to the duo, this is the first preview of the band’s upcoming album, the follow-up to last year’s Can’t Say I Ain’t Country.
Florida Georgia Line was set to hit the road with Kenny Chesney on his Chillaxification Tour, but the first set of dates have been postponed. They hope to get back on track by May 28.
