Arnold Schwarzenegger feels ‘fantastic’ after recovering from heart surgery

Arnold Schwarzenegger has disclosed he recently underwent heart surgery.

The 73-year-old had his aortic valve replaced and said he was feeling “fantastic” following the procedure.

“Thanks to the team at the Cleveland Clinic, I have a new aortic valve to go along with my new pulmonary valve from my last surgery,” Schwarzenegger captioned a photo of himself giving a thumbs up from a hospital bed.

“I feel fantastic and have already been walking the streets of Cleveland enjoying your amazing statues. Thank you to every doc and nurse on my team!”

It’s unclear exactly when he had the surgery as the "Terminator" star also included snaps out of the hospital and visiting various sites around town.

His latest procedure comes two years after he had surgery on another section of his heart.

In 2018, Schwarzenegger had his pulmonic valve replaced after having originally had it changed in 1997 due to a congenital heart defect, reported Variety.

Following the procedure, the actor gave a health update by quoting one of his most classic lines from "Terminator."

“It’s true: I’m back!” he tweeted. “I went to sleep expecting to wake up with a small incision and woke up with a big one. But guess what? I woke up, and that’s something to be thankful for.”

The former governor of California has been recently showing much admiration for his iconic "Terminator" role.

Last month, Schwarzenegger bought a carved pipe shaped like his cyborg character from a fan.

A Reddit user shared an image of his creation to the website and noted he made it for the action hero’s birthday in July.

It eventually got the attention of Schwarzenegger who tweeted, "Wow. This is fantastic. It is beautiful. Would you sell this to me?"

The fan wouldn’t sell it to him for money, so the Hollywood star made a counter offer.

"If you insist on giving it to me, I insist on sending you back a signed photo of me using it (Now that it’s 2020 I just sign things on my machine and send in email if that works for you),” the actor wrote.

The happy fan later shared a signed image of the bodybuilding legend smoking the pipe with the following message written across it, "To Radon, Thank you for the great pipe. Arnold Schwarzenegger."
