If you’re a fan of “Law & Order: Organized Crime,” things are allegedly about to get scandalous when it comes to the storyline involving Stabler’s recent letter to Benson.
During a Q&A at New York’s 92nd Street Y, an event hosted by TV Line, Christopher Meloni, who plays Stabler, revealed some shocking details about the upcoming season.
Meloni said there would be a “riot” when the content of his character’s letter to Mariska Hargitay’s Olivia Benson is disclosed. When asked about the incident, Meloni replied, “The letter is addressed this season and I think [fans are] going to set [their] heads on fire when it happens.” He added, “I think there’s going to be a riot.”
As the 60-year-old star continued to discuss the letter, he said “parts” of the message would be “doled out to the audience.”
“You’re going to hear what’s in the letter. Maybe not the full and total [letter], but you’re going to get an earful,” Meloni added.
Throughout this season, Meloni shared that he worked with the show's writers on the scenes that involved Benson and Stabler.
“I have an advantage,” he said, “because I know instinctively what Stabler would say."
Hargitay and Meloni are known for making fans on social media happy as they continue to make surprising appearances with each other. However, they both also like to tease on their social media accounts.
Last month, Meloni put “Law & Order” fans in a frenzy after posting a very up close and personal snap alongside his franchise costar.
In the photo, Meloni and Hargitay stare at each other with their faces almost touching. In the scandalous picture, in which the background looks like an abandoned industrial building, it seems that the two stars were going in for a smooch.
