Chrissy Teigen's French bulldog Pippa dies at age 10: She ‘died in my arms’

Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, and their entire family is mourning the loss of their beloved family pet, a French bulldog named Pippa.

Teigen, 35, announced the news on Instagram on Thursday night, sharing a cute throwback photo of her holding her dog.

Pippa was 10.

“Our beautiful little Pippa just died in my arms, not long ago,” Teigen began her post. She continued, “I remember picking her up in Gainesville and documenting our trip home. She was a sassy broad - loved her pearl necklace and never took sh-- from ANY new dog we brought in.”

Teigen also lost a 9-year-old English bulldog that died in 2018, TMZ reports.

The mom-of-two continued: “We loved her so much. We love you sweet girl. I know you’re giving puddy hell up there. Thank you for giving us your whole life."

John Legend, 42, also took to his own Instagram account to share the sad news with his fans. The singer posted a photo of him smiling with his late pet, who looks stoic while rocking a large pearl necklace.

“We’re going to miss our little Pippa. This pic is her living her best life: on the road with her dad, wearing pearls. We got her near Gainesville FL so I gave her my best impression of a southern accent whenever I spoke for her, Legend captioned his post. She was smart, fancy and didn’t take any sh--. She gave us so much joy for 10 years. We love you Pippa!”

The news comes after Teigen took to Instagram to share her frustrations with “cancel culture” after she was accused of cyberbullying.

Teigen wrote to her followers saying, “I feel lost and need to find my place again,I need to snap out of this, I desperately wanna communicate with you guys instead of pretending everything is okay.” She continued, “Cancel club is a fascinating thing and I have learned a whollllle lot.”
