Chrissy Teigen admits she needs multiple ovens in her kitchen after 'traumatizing' cooking disaster

Chrissy Teigen recently admitted to making a major cooking mistake that many bakers can relate to.

The viral chef and cookbook author recently spoke to Architectural Digest about her and husband John Legend’s $17.5 million mansion in Beverly Hills, California.

The power couple upgraded their home in September from a nearby seven-bedroom residence that is still on the market, according to Insider.

Despite having more of space for her family of four, Teigen disclosed the kitchen was one of the main reasons for the move.

"I wanted, obviously, multiple ovens," Teigen said.

"I am very weird about cooking dessert in the same oven that I cook other things in because of a disaster I had a long time ago making a cake in the same oven that I had made baked beans in,” she added.

"The cake kind of took on the flavor of the baked beans. So after that traumatizing situation, I decided I'd never cook dessert in the same oven."

To no surprise, the model said her kitchen is her favorite part of the house.

"The kitchen will be my favorite part of the house because it leads into that area with the tree — I don't know if I can talk about the new house, really! But the open area of the new house has a gorgeous tree and this beautiful seating area," Teigen said.

The 35-year-old is the proud creator of cooking website “Cravings By Chrissy Teigen,” and has also authored two cookbooks.

In September, the supermodel announced that she was postponing her third cookbook after experiencing complications with her pregnancy. In October, Teigen tragically announced that her pregnancy had ended.

"We thought we were going to have a new addition to our family earlier this year, and so we were thinking we wanted more bedrooms and more living space," Legend elaborated to Architectural Digest. "And we still expect to expand our family in the near future."
