In real life, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer are just friends.

David Schwimmer officially confirmed that he and Jennifer Aniston are not “spending time” together. A representative for Schwimmer told the UK Sun there is “no truth” to rumors that the former costars are dating.

Aniston's reps have also denied the rumors as well, reports HuffPost UK.

The rumors began when a source told Closer magazine that after the “Friends” reunion, the two “stirred up feelings” for each other.

“They began texting immediately after filming and, just last month, David flew from his home in New York to see Jen in LA,” according to the insider.

Reports say Aniston has allegedly been cooking dinners at her home for Schwimmer. Other reported sightings included an alleged sighting of the costars at a winery.

While there may be nothing going on, Aniston and Schwimmer previously shared that a romance almost blossomed between the two.

During HBO Max’s “Friends: The Reunion” special, James Corden, the host, asked whether any of the cast members of the sitcom ever were involved in off-screen romances with each other.

Both Aniston and Schwimmer quickly gave their answers.

“I mean, the first season, I had a major crush on Jen. At some point, we were crushing hard on each other,” Schwimmer said. “But it was like two ships passing, because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.”

Aniston then shared a conversation she had with Schwimmer about their first kiss in the show.

She continued, “So we just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel.”

Schwimmer also recalled when he and Aniston would cozy up to each other during the first couple of years. He mentioned how there were moments when they would cuddle on the couch.

“We would spoon and fall asleep on the couch,” Aniston added.
On the screen, a video was shown of a time they snuggled together. Schwimmer said, “I’m thinking, ‘How did not everyone know we were crushing on each other?’”

Both Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry agreed everyone “knew” they had a crush on each other.
