Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and His Family Recover From COVID-19

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal that he, his wife, and his two daughters, had all tested positive for coronavirus. They are now all healthy.

"My wife, Lauren, as well as my two baby girls, and myself - we have all tested positive for COVID-19. And I can tell you that this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we've ever had to endure as a family," he began the video.

He explained that overcoming coronavirus was much different than any other hardship he's had to overcome - mainly because his "number one priority" is always to protect his family.

"I wish it was only me who tested positive, but it wasn't. It was my entire family. So this one was a real kick in the gut," he explained.

He then went on to say that luckily, he and his family are all on the other side of the virus, and they are all healthy.

"I am happy to tell you guys that we, as a family, are good. We're on the other end of it, we're on the other side, we are not longer contagious, and we are, thank god, we are healthy," he said.

He explained that they contracted the virus by being in contact with friends who had the virus."We picked up COVID-19 from very close family friends. And these are people who we love and trust, these are people who we still love and trust," he said.

For the remainder of the 11-minute video, Johnson described the dangers of not abiding by experts' guidance in terms of how we can all collectively avoid the virus.

"Stay disciplined. Boost your immune system. Commit to wellness. Wear your mask. Protect your family. Be strict about having people over your house or gatherings. Stay positive. And care for your fellow human beings," he captioned the post.
