Elizabeth Hurley is no stranger to posting thirst traps.
And while social media is full of people uploading similar shots, the “Runaways” star disclosed how it was particularly difficult while in the midst of pandemic lockdowns.
"Well, it was challenging because I didn't leave the country for anywhere hot. I filmed abroad, but I actually filmed in really cold countries,” Hurley told People. “So all I had was my yard and my house, which is England."
She added: "I didn't have the beach, I didn't have the sea, I don't have any water. We very rarely have the sun."
Despite the location difficulties, her 19-year-old lookalike son, Damian Charles Hurley, would often step in to give his mother the added confidence to share the swimsuit photos.
"He said, mom, 'Just do it.' Okay. I'm like, 'Okay.' But it's good. I had him on task, especially during lockdown,” Hurley said.
Earlier this year, the “Austin Powers” star divulged she had a great reason for “prancing around in so many swimsuits.”
“I have my own swimwear line,” Hurley told Extra TV. “I wouldn’t ordinarily be prancing around in quite so much beachwear, so there is a reason behind prancing around in so many swimsuits.”
The English actress is the creator and designer of her eponymous swimsuit brand entitled Elizabeth Hurley Beach and posts images of herself in the two-piece ensembles to promote and sell the items on social media.
At the time, Hurley referenced how the COVID-19 pandemic made her get more creative with the marketing of the line.
“We haven’t been allowed to go on vacation in 14 months… I have a beachwear company and haven’t been on the beach… Hence, we have been selling what we can. We’ve been improvising,” she added, before alluding to some of her photos. “So, yes, we’ve been on hay bales, we’ve been in the snow, we’ve been in the shower.”
