Earlier this week, Ellen DeGeneres announced the end of her long-running talk show "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" following the conclusion of its 19th season in 2022.

While some believe the show's end can be attributed to the allegations that the comedian ran a "toxic work environment," some fans on social media are hilariously saying that the bricks started to fall after Ellen's incredibly awkward interview with actress Dakota Johnson.

In the November 2019 interview, Johnson called out DeGeneres for lying about being invited to her 30th birthday, leading to a tense moment between the two.

Many of Ellen's detractors were quick to show support of Johnson's "role," whatever that may be, in the demise of Ellen's popularity.

According to Yahoo!, while many believe the allegations of a toxic work environment are the reason for "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" ending, the comedian says she is ending her run because the show was "just not a challenge anymore."
