Jennifer Aniston Had Fake 'Stalking' Instagram Before Joining

Jennifer Aniston was there for you all along.

When the “Friends” star officially joined Instagram on Tuesday, she basically broke the platform with a selfie she posted with the main cast of her former hit sitcom.

But it wasn't the first time she's been on Instagram. During a Wednesday appearance on “The Jimmy Kimmel Show,” the "Morning Show" star told Kimmel that she did have an anonymous Insta used solely for lurking in the past.

Aniston spoke to Kimmel about her popular account, telling the late night host she’s the “most reluctant person to ever join Instagram.” She also discussed the dangers of social media, but “The Morning Show” star has always been on Instagram.

Aniston said the purpose of this private page was to spy on people. Kimmel clarified by asking, “You had a fake Instagram, account, though, didn’t you?”

“Well, it was a stalker account, yes,” Aniston admitted.

"When I was thinking about doing this, I sort of figured it was time to kind of understand the world and dip my toe into this sort of social media pool," Aniston said.

Kimmel told her "the young people, the kids, would call it a Finsta account, which is short for fake Instagram."

Aniston responded, "They can't even say fake anymore!"

On Tuesday, Aniston broke a Guinness World Record for fastest 1 million followers on the platform.

Aniston reached the milestone in five hours and 16 minutes, according to People.

It was a feat of royal proportions, as Aniston dethroned the previous record holders, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Watch the throne!

The royal couple broke the title when they launched their Instagram in April and got to one mil in five hours and 45 minutes.

Aniston will star in “The Morning Show” which premieres on Apple+ TV this fall.
